When the Temptation is TOO MUCH!

Wednesdays are our day where nothing is going on--no babysitting kids, no preschool, no nothing!  So we are usually hanging around the house and I am trying to get things done.

Yesterday I put Logan down for his normal 1 o'clock nap and told Olivia that I was going to jump in the shower.  She said she was going to play in her room.  I have been taking showers with her having free reign of the house for two years now with no issues.  She's not one to "get into" things, and honestly there really isn't much for her to get into anyway.

I was in my room after my shower. Olivia came in the room and said, "Mommy!  There are TWO Llama Llama books!"  Instantly I knew what I was about to find.

Yep.  She decided to unwrap all but 4 of her Christmas books.

As I was sending Michael a text she started unwrapping ANOTHER one.  I told her to stop, and she said "I can find a better hiding place!"  Oh my word!

Then she asked me to read one of the books and said, "Sooo.... does this mean I need a spanking?"

Then as she was cleaning up all of the wrapping she just kept talking and talking.  First, she took all treats away from herself for the rest of the day.  Then she kept saying things like, "Why did I do that?" and "I know that wasn't a good choice."  She also kept apologizing over and over.  Honestly, I wish I would have recorded it because it was too cute.  Then one of the times when she asked why she did it, I said "Yeah, why did you do it?"  Her response: "I was just too excited to see what all of the books were going to be."  At least she's honest.  And thankfully there aren't any "real" gifts under the tree yet.  Stinker!
