Textured Squirrel

Little Man's preschool teacher has been talking a lot about using different textures in children's art work.  I decided to give it a go.

I printed off this squirrel

Then I had Little Man color it with a brown marker

I put some of this on a plate for him

I had him put some glue on the tail only

Then he put the oatmeal on the glue

For good measure I decided to give the little squirrel a nut

After Little Man was finished, we taped the picture to a brown piece of construction paper

Little Man LOVED doing this project.  I think he thought gluing oatmeal on a picture was cool.

It was super easy to do.

I think it turned out fantastic!
