Day 2--Animal Kingdom

Since we were at Magic Kingdom so late on Saturday, we slept in a little on Sunday.  We made sure that we arrived at Animal Kingdom before our first fast pass, but we didn't get there at opening.

Logan wasn't quite 40 inches, so there were a handful of rides that he couldn't do.  We utilized the rider switch for most of those.  Rider switch (or swap) is when 1 member is not tall enough.  You can ask a cast member at the entrance for a rider swap.  Then the other adult (me) who has to stay with the small child can also ride without having to stand in the long stand by line.

Logan didn't care too much that Olivia and Boppa were off riding all of the fast rides... except for the Dinosaur ride.  He really wanted to ride that one!!

Logan and I rode the dumbo type dinosaur ride and played in the bone yard while we waited.

One of Olivia's favorite rides was the Everest Ride.  We did a rider swap on that and she rode it twice--back to back--once with me and once with Michael.  Yikes.  It was a little wild.  She keeps mentioning that I screamed my head off throughout the ride.

From there we headed to the Nemo show.  We ate our packed lunch in line and then while we waited for the show to start.  Another benefit to packing a lunch!

Shortly after this Olivia got sick.  The good news with her is that I always know it's coming about a minute before hand.  I quickly grabbed our empty popcorn bucket and all was good.  We headed to the bathroom to clean up.  I asked her if we needed to go.  She said, "No!  Why would we need to go?  I already puked it all out.  I'm fine now."  And she was back to acting like her normal self.  So I figured maybe it was a mix of being tired, and riding a crazy ride two times in a row, and eating different foods.  So we carried on about our day.

Logan didn't want to get in with Rafiki

So we did a family shot

we rode the safari, which was fun

This happened right around dinner time.  Michael and I actually ate while they slept.

We let them sleep as long as we could, and then tried to wake them up for the Lion King show.  We had a fast pass and I had heard so many good things about it. We got them some snacks, and got it line.  We weren't in line for more than 2 minutes and Olivia started crying and saying she was done and didn't feel good.  Turns out it wasn't from the crazy rides.

So we had to end our day at Animal Kingdom a little early.  It was a good thing too, because right when we got to the car she got sick again.  I'd much rather it in the car than in the middle of a show!  We went back to the hotel, got cleaned up and cozy, and just laid in bed watching Disney Junior the rest of the night.  We missed out on a lot of AK, so will have to spend a full day there the next time we go back.  But it was good to rest and relax after our whirlwind of a few days.  Thankfully, with some medicine and rest, it turned out to only be a 1 day thing and no one else got sick!
