Photo Dump Friday

...and so it begins!

"Nobody puts baby in a corner"  Except for maybe baby himself?

Showing off very proudly that she put her (water!) shoes on all by herself!  I mean, if you aren't going to rest during rest time, you might as well learn a skill, right?

"Xylophone's are for girls.  I'm a drummer!"

Watching sister at ballet

Trying out Logan's new bath seat. Goof.

"Oooh.  Sister left her laptop out.  What kind of crazy status update can I put?"

Hanging out with mommy early Saturday morning.

Saturday morning snuggles

She loves to show Michael her outfits or hair after she gets ready.  He had already left for work this day, so we sent him a picture.  And thanks to the person who probably paid close to $50 for the J Crew shirt.  I appreciate that I got to buy it for $3. It's super cute.

The Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend and had perfect weather for it!

I had heard about Pigeon Roost last year from multiple people, but we had just moved back into town and were on the complete opposite side of town so we just went to the two I was already familiar with.  But this year I knew I wanted to try this place out!

Olivia thought about going down the slide for about two seconds and then chickened out.  I have no idea what her deal is with slides...

They had a TON of stuff... I mean a TON.  Don't you know her favorite was this little plastic house that had nothing to do with a farm or pumpkin patch. We literally had to pry her away from it and she kept begging to go back... :/

Logan was up early then fell back asleep and slept really late--like he woke up for the day around the time he goes down for his first nap.  So since his schedule was all off, we decided to not plan our day around his naps and hope that it worked out.  It did.  Michael wore him and he was asleep within 40 minutes of getting to the farm.  He slept for at least an hour (which is good, considering) and then also took another hour nap later in the day.  Yes, we were there THAT long.

Olivia wanted to do the mini maze, which was actually a small field of soy beans.

Next we went through the enchanted forest

Then a lady offered to take a family picture.  Logan was asleep and Olivia looks thrilled, huh?

love at first sight

Logan woke up and we plopped him in the corn.  He was less than impressed.

Next we went on a hay ride.  Logan wasn't so sure at first and snuggled into mommy.  He warmed up to it though, and Olivia had a good time.

Next up was the corn maze!

We were there nearly 4 and a half hours and didn't even do it all!  We will definitely go back next year!

Big Week!

Logan had a big week last week.

On Tuesday he got his third tooth--a top one.

On Wednesday he learned how to crawl.

On Thursday he got his fourth tooth--the other top one.

AND.... he has been mostly sleeping through the night.  He has been going to bed at 7 for months now and he usually wakes up around 6:30/7.  But he was waking once in the middle of the night.  It was usually around 3:30 or 4.  I am fine with letting him talk it out or even cry, but once he gets to a certain (angry) point there is no going back.  So usually a very small bottle was the answer.  He has gone multiple nights now with skipping that middle of the night tantrum.  He has gotten up at 5 or 5:30 a day or two, but we don't let him get out of bed that early.  I think we are finally getting there!!  Olivia has slept 11 to 12 hours ever since she met this milestone way back around his age.  So if he can follow in her footsteps and be a good sleeper as well, I will be forever grateful!

Creepside at Creekside

Yes.  We are still alive! :)  I just haven't been in the mood to blog lately.  But the pictures are piling up, so I thought I better get back at it.

Last week we attended Creepside.  It's held at the same little place that we went on the paddle boat rides.  A bunch of businesses come out and hand out candy and information.  Then there is also a little trail put on by the church where I use to teach at.  It has fun games and is suppose to be a non scary alternative.  There are also food truck options as well, but we ate before we went.

Most people wear their costumes, but Olivia just wore her Halloween outfit.  A) We didn't have all of the parts to her costume yet, and B) It was pretty cold out.  She was over the moon excited to be wearing her new purple coat from grandma, and honestly she didn't even notice that everyone was in costumes and she wasn't.

Olivia was showing Logan her candy.  My sister got both of them Packer hats.  Cute, huh?

Playing games...

It was getting close to Logan's bedtime, so he was getting a little restless in the stroller.  How cute are these two in their matching coats!?! :)

Sooo... for various reasons we didn't make it to Boo at the Zoo (long story), so we are going to count this as our Boo at the Zoo experience. It's pretty much the same thing... walk around and gather candy from vendors. ;)
